Travel Diary: London #04

The sun came out for our last day in London and we headed out to make the most of the day. We headed to London Bridge and walked along past the Shard and onto Tower Bridge. With it being early in the morning it was nice and quiet. By 10am we made our way to the London Eye to buy our tickets. As it was half term the queues were big already. We couldn't get on until later so instead we went to the London Eye 4D film (worth a look if you've got time, it's free with your ticket), went back to the hotel to check out and had a Nando's for lunch. 10 Chillies on my Nando's card meant I got a free meal which is always a bonus.
After lunch we waited in the London Eye queue for an hour then headed up into the sky to see the sights. It was a beautiful day and we got some great views. I'm glad we made the last minute decision. By the time 3pm rolled round we had to get the train back to the airport, but not before a coffee, hot chocolate and blueberry muffin.

I had a fab long weekend in London, we ate lots, shopped lots, walked lots and had loads of fun. I'm looking forward to our next weekend away.

Have you been on the London Eye?
