Benefit Roller Lash Review

Benefit sure does know how to work the marketing game and I'm a beauty blogger that jumps straight in following the hype. Before Roller Lash was even released Benefit had a mini mascara up for grabs free with Elle magazine. Curiosity got the better of me and I bought a copy. Roller Lash is the latest mascara to join Benefit's impressive range and after loving They're Real I was keen to see how Roller Lash would compare.

It’s a roller for lashes! The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls…while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours.

Curl Power!

The curved wand doesn't look like anything new or novel but it certainly did make an impressive difference in combination with their mascara formula. Their claims are all positive and desirable. Who doesn't want lifted, curled lashes?! I put Roller Lash to the test on my fair lashes which could be quite easily described as camel lashes - long but mega straight. I used the Shu Uemura eye lash curler on before applying one layer, then a second.

The photos show quite clearly that my lashes look lifted and curled. The wand caught all my lashes and coated them without making them look clumpy. The long, dark and separated lashes definitely make my eyes look open without being flaky or spidery. The only thing missing is a bit of volume but that's not stopped me using this nearly every day. As for the holding power and removal, this mascara has stayed put all day and comes off without too much of a battle with some hot cloth cleanser or a drop of eye makeup remover. Looks like Benefit has done it again!

Anyone else buy Elle just for this mascara?
Have you tried Benefit's Roller Lash?
