December Empties and Products I Regret Buying

Paco Rabanne Lady Million
This 50ml bottle was a gift from my parents at Duty Free and having such a big bottle meant I was able to use it every day. It ended up being my signature fragrance at work and it clearly last for hours by the time I was still getting compliments at lunchtime. I'd definitely buy this again but I might need to work my way through my other perfumes for the time being.
e.l.f Daily Brush Cleanser
I think I bought this in my very first elf order in about 2010 or 2011. At the time I thought it was quite good because really I had no idea about how to properly clean my makeup brushes. After a while I realised that for this spray cleanser to work I really would have to use it daily. It ended up being thrown into the depths of a makeup bag and ignored. While having a bit of a clear out I used up the last 10ml at reminded myself that this isn't for me.
Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer
This was a Fragrance Direct impulse buy and it turned out to be quite a good one. I'm not sure I'd buy this specific concealer again as it's probably discontinued or changed ingredients by the time it's on Frangrance Direct but I'd definitely give another concealer stick a go. It worked quite well with my dry skin and major cover up needs.
Soap and Glory Heel Genius
I've reviewed this on my blog before and this tube lasted for months. I've already got a back up from a Christmas set and I'm aiming to use it a bit more regularly especially on the lead up to having sandal ready feet.

Revlon ColorStay Concealer
This was another Fragrance Direct purchase. This time I bought this because I love the foundation version and I hoped his would impress me as much. I found it to be quite a light concealer and it suited me better for under my eyes rather than for blemishes. I reckon I'd buy it again, especially if I can get it at Fragrance Direct prices.
Simple Cleansing lotion
Simple is a brand I've been using since a teenager and their products are always great for my dry, sensitive skin. This is a good, basic cleanser but I've grown to enjoy using micellar waters and cleansing balms more so I won't be repurchasing it just now.
Witch Skin Clearing Primer
This product seems to have been discontinued which shows just how long I've had this in my makeup bag. I didn't notice any big changes to my skin when I used this but it was quite an affordable primer and did an alright job at keeping my makeup in place.
Pretty Lip Balm
I have so many half-used lip balms and this was one that was close to being finished before it was tossed aside for a new one. This is actually quite a good lip balm, it almost melts onto your lips and always left mine feeling a bit softer and more hydrated.

Products I Regret Buying
With a major increase in beauty products from my birthday and Christmas I'm on a bit of a mission to finish up some of the hundreds of products that I've started but not finished (a bit of a project 10 pan). While organising all of these products I came across a few products that I definitely wouldn't use again, ones that have sat unused and will be long out of date simply because I think they are rubbish!
17 Miracle Matte Foundation
When I think about it I have no idea why I bought this. I've got dry skin so matte foundation really isn't going to work for me. I also found to colour range pretty poor so wearing this would mean I'd have dry, patchy, orange skin. Lovely!
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Foundation
I don't know many people who don't love Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection concealer. I'd been using it for a while before I spotted the foundation in Boots. I thought it would make sense for me to like this too unfortunately it was the complete opposite. Like the 17 foundation it left me patchy, dried out my skin and really wasn't the right colour for me.
e.l.f Tined Moisturiser
I bought this to wear on holiday when I wouldn't want thick or heavy foundation. This tinted moisturiser didn't come in very many colours and I think most of them were made with a base colour of orange!
Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser
In uni I wanted to try the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser but I didn't really have the funds. I found this "cheaper" version in Superdrug and gave it a go. I really didn't see any differences to my skin and after a little while my skin broke out. A bit of a shame but sometimes it's better to spend a bit more in the first place.
