Blog Love...

As much as blogging has changed and people don't leave comments as often as before (me included) I still love reading new blog posts and catching up with some of my old favourites. I've been reading these 3 blogs since I began my own blog and still enjoy reading their makeup, fashion and lifestyle posts.

Hannah works so hard on Away with the Fairies and this can be seen by her huge range of posts and regular uploads. I've been loving her outfit posts lately and her variety of posts means she's always got something new or different to read about. Hannah's love for pink and pastels definitely shines through which is always lovely to see.

Leanne's blog must have been one of the first that I started following and it was all down to her honest reviews and her similar tastes to mine. Leanne seems to find the nicest clothes and accessories to put in her wish list posts leaving me with a huge financial dilemma. Her clean, simple layout and big, clear photos make for an enjoyable read.

Though Lisa doesn't get the chance to blog on The Beauty Type as much as she used to because of Uni I still enjoy reading her mixture of beauty and lifestyle posts as I have for years. Another blog with honest reviews and a good mixture of drugstore and high end products.

If you haven't already checked out these girls' blogs, I highly recommend it!

Superdrug Haul

It was Superdrug's 50th Birthday recently and I couldn't resist some of their offers and free delivery. I needed a new set of fake lashes for a wedding and these were half price and not too dramatic. I really like the packaging of these. I absolutely love the Maybelline Better Skin foundation and wanted a lighter colour as my current one can look a bit orange when I've got absolutely no tan on. With so many of my concealers running out recently I've returned to good old Collection Lasting Perfection. Lastly, another base essential and a new product to me I thought I'd try out another product from the Super Stay range.

What bargains did you get during Superdrug's birthday celebrations?

What's on my iPad mini

Since getting my iPad Mini in February I've used it nearly everyday. I thought I'd share what apps I've got on it as there are some that are downright addictive (Township) and others which I've found to be essential. Every single app that I've downloaded is free. The lock screen of my iPad is me and my boyfriend at Graduation Ball last year and the background is the sunrise in Egypt from our last holiday.

The first page of apps is all the basics. The only one I've added to this is Emojji 2.

This is my definitely my entertainment and social media page. Some are really obvious and need no explanation.

Youtube, Facebook, Netflix
iTube - A handy app for watching music videos and they can be saved to your iPad to watch when you've got no wifi.
Sky Go
TVCatchup - I use this one on the treadmill to watch Corrie and Emmerdale as they're shown on the TV
TV Guide - An app for finding out what's on the TV.
Timehop - A good one for finding out what you were up to this time last year, or 4 years ago using social media
BBC News , Twitter
Padgram - An instagram designed for iPads but you can't post from it, explaining why I've got the next one.
Instagram, Pinterest
Pose - I sometimes use this for outfit inspiration but it's a bit hard to navigate.
Blogger - This app isn't up to standard yet for being able to blog effectively.
Sticky - Just like having post it notes but they can't get lost
Bloglovin - Handy for reading some blogs.
BBC Iplayer, ITV player, 4OD

The last pages is quite a random selection and features the few games that I play.

BBC Weather - An essential for checking the weather all over the world.
Pic Collage - A handy free app for making collages
Jamie Oliver - A freebie that has yet to be used
Google Maps - A classic.
Township - I'm addicted to this game. It's a bit like Farmville but with some mining and deliveries involved.
Covet - Anyone remember Fantasy Shopper? This is just like it but American and not quite as addictive.
Campus Life - Who doesn't want their own sorority?
Guess the Emojji - A silly little game that gets you thinking
AnyList - Gotta keep organised.

What apps do you love that I've not got yet?

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse Review

Having a busy Easter holidays last month with a wedding, hen weekend and second hen night I needed to top up my tan without any hassle. The hassle tends to be applying it with enough time for it to develop before showering. I've seen myself applying fake tan before a night out with no effects, until I wake up the next morning with dodgy missing bits (white toes from heels and drink spilt streaks).

I'd heard a bit about the Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan, especially since it's been launched in Primark and was intrigued to find out if this would prove to make tanning a bit less of a chore.

The first two things to stand out when I gave this a go was the colour of the mousse and the pleasant, non biscuit smell. The mousse is lovely and soft and has a guide colour which is neither scary nor useless. The mousse dries quite quickly once it's applied so I stick to small sections and move on without having the panic of tan transferring.

Within the hour I had reached a lovely glow and I had a lovely hot shower just after 60minutes and was left without too much colour disappearing and a healthy looking tan. I was very impressed by both the speed and colour. If it wasn't for the fact I've got quite dry skin I'd have this on every day!

What's your least favourite thing about fake tanning?
Have you tried Cocoa Brown?
