Neal & Wolf Rituals Shampoo and Conditioner Review

These are the first Neäl and Wølf products that I've used and I've been impressed. Neäl and Wølf are a professional haircare range with high quality products, in gorgeous simple looking packaging. Also before I go into detail about the actual products I have to mention how good they smell. They actually smell like a perfume and the smell lasts!

The Ritual Shampoo is essentially a clarifying shampoo. It refreshes my hair, removing build up and leaves it fresh, clean and feeling healthy. It is a cleansing shampoo so I've gone from using it every wash during the first week to just every second wash during the second week. Clarifying shampoos can be a bit too harsh and even though it's a 'daily' shampoo I don't want to risk dehydrating my hair.

I'm a bit addicted to conditioning treatments which means normal conditioners don't tend to meet my needs. I've got long hair which is extremely prone to getting into knots, especially in the shower. So I wasn't expecting to love this daily conditioner. However, the conditioner is thick, creamy, silky and actually feels like a hair mask. I was so impressed with how my hair felt just a minute after massaging it in. My hair felt smooth once out of the shower and my hair was so easy to brush through. This conditioner seems to absorb into my hair giving it the moisture that it needs and removes my normal battle of knotty dry feeling hair.
I'd highly recommend Neäl and Wølf, and I'm on the lookout to try some of their different products, maybe even go big and buy the Large Pump Bottles.

Fragrance Direct Haul

Who can resist a FragranceDirect purchase? A couple of my concealers are starting to run out and the next thing I know I'm ordering a whole load of things from fragrance direct. From a Bourjois Une Skincare Discovery Kit which I'd never used before and thought would be handy to use during weekends aways to some new N Salon UV Gel Polish. Unfortunately I've embarked on a Gel Nail Detox  but I'm looking forward to trying out my new colours in a few months. Who can resist a 60p Maybelline Color Show Polish?

I got quite a few new face products, and a lot seem to be from Maybelline. The Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer is not my usual style but I thought I'd try it out. Maybelline Mineral Liquid Foundation is a repurchase (though it's been a few years!) and L'Oreal Studios Anti Redness Primer looks interesting and the price tag was good compared to the normal L'Oreal Studios price. I was quite surprised to see the Maybelline FIT me Powder on Fragrance Direct as it's quite new, but handy because I've not tried it yet and lastly a Revlon ColourStay Concealer in hope that it's half as good as the ColorStay Foundation.

Have you made any recent Fragrance Direct purchases?
Do you use websites like Fragrance Direct to try out new products or would you prefer to see different products in store first?

What's In My Bag - Michael Kors Jet Set Medium

I couldn't resist doing a What's In My Bag post as they're one of my favourite posts and videos to watch and because I absolutely love my bag.
I've had my gorgeous Michael Kors bag since Christmas. It's the perfect size for day to day - both the bag for carrying my essentials and the handle for throwing over my shoulder.

I don't really carry much about with me, just the things that I need. They're all quite self explanatory. I've got my glasses in their case, I only really need them for driving. I've got a 'Yep Still Hot' Mirror which I got from a pupil for Christmas!! A Baby Lips lip balm, my iPhone 5 (covered in finger prints!) and my keys which are nicely decorated with an Egypt bottle opener keyring and a Smurfette torch. A Michael Kors purse, a compact Tangle Teezer and a mini bottle of Soap and Glory Hand Food.

What more could I need? There's no point carting a load of stuff with you and getting a sore back!

What's your favourite brand of handbag?
If you've got a recent What's In My Bag post feel free to leave the link below.

Fringe Envy

I'm having a bit of a dilemma. Loads of people seem to be getting fringes cut in and I'm starting to get a bit jealous. I mentioned at work that I was thinking about it but verdict was split. Many saying go for it, whilst others were a bit unsure. I've not had a full fringe since I was 6! I've had a side fringe for quite some time now and I fancy a change. But do I have the face shape for a full fringe? Should I risk it or is maintenance too much?

NOTD: Nails Inc Snowflake

I'm on a gel nail detox - a little different from most other people's January detoxes but my nails have started feeling soft and weak after a few months of constant gel nails. All the buffing and acetone has been a little bit too much and my nails aren't thanking me for it. So instead of a 2 week manicure I'm going to be giving my good old nail varnish the attention it deserves. I've started off with some new ones in my collection. I bought these in the look fantastic.com sale just before Christmas whilst I was wishing for a white Christmas.
These two polishes came in a fab little set with a foil polish too. The snowflake effect polish is really good quality, typical of Nails Inc, needing only one or two coats to have a good covering of glitter and sequins. I think it looks great over the neutral beige Porchester Square colour but will definitely look equally as good over a brighter colour.
An added bonus that it covers up the lumps and bumps that my poor recovering nails currently have.

LucyBella Large Jute Bag Review

Just a quick warning this post is jam packed with photos. I got a LucyBella Large Jute Bag for Christmas from my brother  fully personalised with my teacher name on it and some schoolie accessories. I needed a bigger bag for work and the large Jute bags are perfect. It's not too big to carry but big enough for all work essentials.

The attention to detail in these bags is amazing! The glitter, the diamantes, the bow, the sequins, the charm, the bright paint, all on a high quality bag. The service was also amazing. My brother was at a loss for what to get me and I didn't find out about LucyBella Designs until a fortnight before Christmas. I'd missed the Christmas deadline but we got in touch anyway. She was fantastic, not only helping choose the perfect accessories for on the bag but by managing to get the design done and delivered by Christmas, amazing!

I couldn't be happier with it! It fits the mountain load of marking that I have to take home along with my planning folders and notebooks - perfect! Loads of my pupils have been commenting on it - even the boys! I'm actually tempted to get another one for doing my shopping or even a beach themed one. The possibilities are endless.

River Island & Boots Sale Haul

The second of my sale orders is from River Island and Boots. I ordered these on Christmas Eve and man it was a long wait for it to all arrive. I don't shop much at River Island but I couldn't resist some of the savings I made. I bought a mixture of casual clothes, fancy clothes and accessories. As for Boots I seemed to have missed all the good things but was quite chuffed with the tester gift set that I did manage to get.

Moments That Mattered in 2013

Today after a long day at work I came home ready to kick back and watch Corrie whilst nibbling on Christmas chocolates which still aren't finished. My plans went straight out the window after reading Hannah's Moment's that Mattered giveaway post. After reading her 2013 moments my brain went into overdrive thinking about my 2013.
2013 was the most eventful and life changing year of my life. Thankfully everything that happened made my life better and made me a happier person. I'm not sure I could pick one moment in particular but I can narrow it down to 2... or 3.

The first big moment of 2013 was the completion of my dissertation and the end of my 4 years at university. I worked for months on one piece of work which in the end seen me be rewarded with a 2:1 Bachelors of Education degree. It was an amazing feeling to hand in my biggest piece of work, celebrate with my friends and be rewarded with a graduation day surrounded by my friends and family.

Photos from my graduation are going to be treasured for the rest of my life. It was a gorgeous sunny day. My family were all suited and booted and my friends looked amazing in their white fur hooded gowns. We had a good time posing for the paparazzi (it might well have been with the amount of cameras facing our way!) and even in my huge Kurt Geiger heels there was no stopping me heading off for a cocktail or 4 and a big slap up meal in the Living Room on George Street.
Not only did I graduate in 2013 but I was lucky enough to attend my boyfriend's graduation. It was amazing to see him walk across the stage and receive his certificate. He worked really hard (and so did I as resident proof reader) and we celebrated with beautiful food, his family and a cheeky night out with his friends.

The best way to end my 4 years in Edinburgh, my 4 years of university and my 4 years near wonderful friends was a big huge graduation ball. I was on the grad ball committee and it was one of the greatest feelings seeing over 250 people in the Balmoral Hotel, all dressed up and having a super night. We had a lovely night from walking the red carpet, to prosecco on arrival. We had a very yummy 3 course meal followed by raiding the pic a mix. We did traditional Scottish dances followed by the Macarena, and dressed up as the royal family and  hoola girls at the photo booth. What a night!

Goodbye student days, Hello grown up, responsible adult with a full time job. I started my first full time job - and career- in a school after the summer holidays. As a teacher to 28 lovely little 8 year olds I believe I've got the best job ever. I joined around 100 other graduates to work through the probationary year in my region. I was placed in a local school with very supportive colleagues and a fantastic bunch of kids. So far we've worked hard on maths and language, gone on a boat trip, done a 5 star Christmas show all while having a jolly good time. It's been hard work, with very long days and stressful moments but I'm so thankful for it and have my fingers crossed that I can continue in a school equally as great next year.

2013 has been a great year for holidays and nights out. My friends from home and I jetted off to Tunisia in July to mark the end of our years of study, to enjoy the sunshine and to have some quality time together. With a lot of people back home after uni and settling into jobs we've been enjoying lots of nights out together which have been great and a right giggle. After a 1st term of hard work my boyfriend and I spent a week in Sharm el Shiekh which is fast becoming one of my favourite places. We relaxed by the pool sipping cocktails. We also won a game of bingo - a shisha pipe prize - woohoo!
I said goodbye to 2013 with fantastic friends including this year's bride to be and the fellow bridesmaids. I then welcomed in 2014 with a New Year's Kiss, fantastic people and a huge feast with family. Fingers crossed 2014 will be half as good as 2013!

Why not do a post for your chance to get a shiny iPad mini from Lloyds Bank & Hannah.

Soufeel Wishlist

Since getting 4 Pandora charms for my birthday and 2 at Christmas, looking  for new or different charms as become a regular search online. Charms and jewellery isn't normally something that I can really afford to add into my regular splurges but thanks to Soufeel it might just become possible. Soufeel is an international jewellery store which has a huge collection of charms, necklaces, bracelets and rings at quite a reasonable price.
Though their charms aren't official Pandora, they do fit on the silver bracelets and have some added extra designs that Pandora themselves haven't got.
It's no surprise that I've managed to build myself a bit of a Soufeel wish list. I think my favourite is the Mickey Mouse charm but the snowflake price tag is rather impressive and the suitcase charm is just perfect! As for the bracelet and ring - how perfect and girly!

Have your shopped online at Soufeel before?
Do you ONLY buy Pandora charms or would you mix and match?

New Look Sale Haul

My sale orders are finally starting to arrive so this is the first of my two sale haul posts.
New Look is a shop I'd buy a lot of my clothes from anyway so when their Boxing Day/January sales started I knew I'd find at least one thing that I would HAVE to have.
I ended up buying a right mixture of stuff but the thing that made me press order was the leather sleeve waterfall cardigan. I've been on the lookout for something like that for a while and with savings of over 50% I was sold. I was quite impressed by how much money was off everything - just a shame it all took so long to come!
