The Christmas Tag

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
My boyfriend and I have had the tradition of watching Home Alone on Christmas Eve for the past 6 years. I LOVE Home Alone and it annoys me that he won't let me watch it any other day. Another favourite is definitely Nativity, probably a lot to do with me being a primary teacher.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We open all of our presents on Christmas morning. Once everyone is up, and we've had breakfast we head through to the living room and start with stockings and work our way through. We always seem to start with presents for my brother and me before my parents open theirs.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Not from an actual Christmas day but one of my favourite Christmas time memories is from just a few years ago when my boyfriend and I went on holiday to Egypt the week before Christmas  It was amazing to be chilling out and sunbathing whilst listening to Christmas music. It was the perfect de-stress before lots of nights out and festivities.

4. Favourite festive food?
I love Christmas dinner in general. It's all about the turkey and all the trimmings! I quite enjoy digging into the chocolates too.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
Is it weird that I can think of my favourite gift I gave quicker than the one I received? I gave my brother the Frankie Boyle book when I was in 1st year at uni. He's a total book worm and fairly enjoys a bit of comedy. To make this present a bit more impressive, I stood in line for hours to get it signed and my brother had no idea I'd met him until he opened the book to see a photo of Frankie Boyle followed by the signature scrawled across the inside cover.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I've got 2 favourites - the Christmas tree and Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
No Christmas Eve traditions here. It's  quite often a day spent watching Christmas films getting last bits and pieces ready.

8. What tops your tree?
A star. There's no exciting tradition or story that comes with it.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Probably a horse! I think as a child my parents were able to convince me to be sensible when sending my letter to Santa... how would he fit a horse on his sleigh after all?!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
Christmas for me starts really early with all the festivities at work. With the school Christmas show, the Fayre, the crafts, the panto, the songs and Christmas films galore. I love the whole run up to Christmas at work and the nights out with friends then the day with my family.
