Benefit World Famous Neutrals Eyeshadow Set Review

With Benefit being my favourite beauty brand at the moment I was so excited to be given one of their World Famous Neutrals sets for my birthday. I've tended to overlook their eyeshadow range, being more interested in cult products like They're Real, Boi-ing and Hoola. I supposed that's why getting this lovely little set as a gift was even more exciting.

The World Famous Neutrals sets contain 4 powder eye shadows and 2 cream eyeshadows. The Most Glamorous Nudes Ever shadows are all warm toned, browns and bronzes, though that's not given away in the names; Birthday Suit, My Two Cents, Call my Buff, Kiss Me I'm Tipsy, It's Complicated and Gilt-y Pleasure. There's a nice selection of shades for everyday neutral and dramatic smokey looks.

The 2 cream eyeshadows are very light and easy to wear. I've worn them both on their own, and as a base for the powders. With a bit of primer the cream shadows last well by themselves. The powders are all gorgeous colours and similarly to the cream shadows, they last well. It doesn't take too much to make a bit of an impact, so they're very pigmented. It's not often that you get a palette with both creams and powders, which makes this a mic versatile palette. It's great to be able to mix and match, and layer to add more dimension and last longer.

It's not the cheapest eyeshadow palette but the standard Benefit packaging and quality of products make it a super gift. The Daytime and Nighttime instructions and tips make it perfect for teenagers just starting out in makeup or ladies who need a bit of guidance, or even a beauty blogger with a huge makeup collection! All of the creams and powders are a decent size so this set will last quite a long time.

When I think of eyeshadows, Benefit isn't the first that springs to mind but I'm so glad this has been added to my collection. With 2 fool proof looks without even having to think I can see myself using this a lot.

Have you tried any of Benefit's eyeshadows?

  1. This looks gorgeous! 'Kiss me I'm tipsy' is such a great name for an eyeshadow.
