My Las Vegas Plan

If you've read my New York Plan you'll know my holiday to the Big Apple is very thought out and organised. After 3 and a half days in New York we're heading to Las Vegas but this leg of our trip will be a lot more chilled. With less that we must see we've just made a list of potential things to do rather than a day by day itinerary.

Starting off with our hotel, we're staying in the MGM Grand which looks massive. I'm sure we'd be able to spend the whole holiday just exploring it's many casinos, pools, restaurants, shops and attractions! Quite impressed by the look of their new 'London Eye' style High Roller I'd love to see Vegas from above. Then onto another sight from above. I can't see myself going back to Las Vegas any time soon, or maybe even ever so it's going to be a once in a life opportunity to see the Grand Canyon. Rather than spending over 12 hours on a bus to see the world famous national park we're considering taking a helicopter trip and seeing it from the sky.
Onto a classic, and free, tourist attraction of Las Vegas we're planning a wonder onto Fremont Street to see what it's got to offer. I can't resist shopping and after a bit of research I knew I'd be heading straight for the Las Vegas outlet centre to try and grab myself a bargain. Perhaps one of the weirdest on my to do list but I really fancy seeing a "magic" show and with Penn and Teller being residents in Las Vegas and after being in awe of them on the TV I'm keen to head to one of their shows.
We can't go to Vegas without getting some pictures in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. We're also hoping to have a meal in the Stratosphere restaurant and lastly we're intrigued by the volcano at The Mirage.

What a mixture of things to see and do and there's probably so much more that we've not even considered! If you've been to Las Vegas and have any recommendations (or even things to definitely avoid) I'd love if you could leave them in the comments!

  1. I went to Vegas 2 years ago... definitely recommend a trip up the stratosphere (and have a go on the rides if you're brave!). The volcano at The Mirage I didn't think was anything outstanding -Definitely make sure you catch the fountains outside The Bellagio. Grab a pudding at The Cheesecake Factory... can't remember which hotel this is in! Magaritaville is worth a shot for tea.... they put entertainment on whilst you eat.
Each hotel is an attraction in itself.. I could have spent hours wandering around each one taking photos! We also stayed at The MGM .... Was fab, you'll love iy! Enjoy! X

  2. Thank you so much Kate! I don't think I'm brave enough from the Stratosphere ride. I'll definitely be putting The Cheesecake Factory on my do to list, cheesecake is my favourite! I can't wait to go :) xo
