Boots Haul: Benefit & Clinique

It was about time I tried out the They're Real Push-up Liner but I was a bit wary after reading the 'you either love it or hate it' reviews. I wasn't keen on spending £19.50 on an eyeliner that I might not be able to work so I played it safe and bought the set which includes a full size They're Real Mascara (which I love) and a mini £10 version of the eyeliner. If I like the liner I'll be repurchasing it in America.

When I visited the Clinique Counter at the Gyle Centre in Edinburgh I got speaking to the consultant and ended up doing a skin analysis. This was one of the products that it recommended to me and it seemed like a good product to tackle blemishes without causing problems to the rest of my dry skin. The consultant used it on the back of my hand and I loved how fresh it felt and ended up buying the mini bottle in hope that I'll only be using it for breakouts rather than all over my face.

I needed a new eye makeup remover and wanted something that I'd be able to use all over my face too. The lady at the Clinique counter recommended the Take the Day off balm to me, used it on my skin and spoke about how good it was for dry skin and stubborn eye make and had me sold. £22 is a bit more than I usually spend when I'm just using Micellar Water but for how little I need to use it should work out as lasting long.

Until the 16th of August if you buy any 2 Clinique products in store (or spend £50 online) you get their Summer Travel Size bonus for free. With a mascara, CC cream, Moisture Surge, Nail polish, Facial soap and Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion with makeup bag you're set for holiday products.

  1. I am a total sucker for the Boots deals but that Clinique gift looks fab :) I really want to try the Benefit eyeliner but like you I'm not sure I'll like it, the set you bought looks like a great way of testing it out though. You'll have to let us know how you get on with it :) x
