Products I Regret Buying

As I reorganised my makeup whilst putting away all my new Christmas goodies I came across a few products that never get used. Thankfully it was only 3 things, and cheap things at that, but they're 3 products that I regret buying. I actually bought all 3 as a result of blog reviews and hype but unfortunately they don't make the cut in my collection.

Elf Complexion Perfection Powder
I've had this for a good 4 years, it was one of the first things I got from elf after reading about it on blogs and hearing about it on youtube. I can count on one hand the number of times that I've actually used this however. It just doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but a swirl of this doesn't even seem to do the job of a setting powder.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain - Charm
My first complaint about this is the smell! It smells like gone off polos. There's such a strange minty scent that makes it almost unbearable to wear. This is a really nice colour, a peach which is perfect for light skin tones. Unfortunately this product is so drying you can't ever see the colour on my lips for the sight of chapped dry skin. Not a good look!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation
There was nothing lasting about this foundation. I felt like it looked good after the first half an hour that it was on, then it was gone. The lasting perfection concealer is one of my favourite but the foundation is no where near similar. I found it patchy, not a good colour match and didn't stay for an hour let alone 16hr.

Have you had better experiences with any of these products?
What are your products that you regret buying?

  1. I bought the foundation because the concealer is so amazing but I too hated it, excatly the same, patchy and awful colours that don't match.

  2. I also haven't got on with the just bitten stains - i felt like the Vaseline bit rubbed off the colour :)

  3. I totally agree with the foundation once! When I was on a budget I bought this as I loved the concealer so much but it's like it's made by different companies entirely!
