Graduation: Cherry Cherry, Kurt Geiger and Primark

This is a scheduled post because at the moment I'm probably beginning to get extremely nervous as I graduate from the University of Edinburgh today with a 2:1 honors degree. I'm so excited to be finally graduating and starting my career in teaching but it's still a very nerve racking day.
I thought I'd share with you the graduation dress, shoes and clutch I've chosen because photos from the day won't be up until I'm back from my holidays in the middle of July!

There's quite a strict dress code for graduations at Edinburgh uni with girls having to wear either a white blouse and black skirt or a black dress with sleeves. I've kind of avoided the sleeved bit slightly but that'll be covered up with my robe anyway. This dress from is such a lovely, smart shape and really good quality. I like the studs on the shoulders (which will be hidden by my robe throughout the ceremony) as it just adds something extra to a plain LBD.

As the graduation robe covers up most of your outfit I think a gorgeous pair of heels is essential. My mum bought me these Kurt Keiger shoes as a graduation present. They're amazing and actually quite comfortable as the inside is padded. The gold along the heel and toe ties in nicely with the studs on my dress.

Lastly my clutch bag. This isn't really necessary for during the ceremony but it'll be handy for carrying my phone, camera and essentials at night when we head off for graduation dinner. It was only £6 from Primark and again goes well with my dress.

I can't say I'm too impressed with the colours of my robe (light blue and white fur), what colour was the hood on your robe?

  1. That is one lovely dress

  2. Oh! I love the dress. It seems simple yet so elegant. It is indeed perfect for graduation. It is not too sexy or too conservative. It is just perfect.
