Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion for Sensitive Skin

The Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion* - marketed at being suitable for sensitive skin- costs only £2.99 for 200ml.  With a price like that it's an affordable cleansing option. As for scent, although it's strong and chemically, it's fresh and clean. Both these factors are well associated with Clean and Clear - a skincare brand I've been using since being a teenager.
I have to dispute that it's suitable for sensitive skin purely for the fact that it was painful on my skin as I could feel it stripping away the little oil that my skin had. Perhaps my skin was just too dehydrated for it's powerful formula. If that's the case it proved to be quite helpful in oil-fighting. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use it long enough to test it's spot preventing ability but I did use it to dry out a blemish quite successfully.

Whilst trying out this liquid cleansing lotion I was really impressed with how quick and efficient it is to use. I'm guilty of being lazy at the end of the day and wanting the cleansing process to be quick. A quick glug of lotion on a cotton pad and you're good to go. It's great at removing makeup and cleaning your skin just avoid your eyes unless you fancy crying for the rest of the night with how much it stings.
This review is of a product I just didn't get on with. As someone with dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin it's not easy to find skin care products that don't cause problems and actually help. The range of skin types is extremely vast and for that reason I didn't want to slate this product because I genuinely believe it would be a "Holygrail" for someone else - just not someone with skin like mine.
Have you tried Clean and Clear's Deep Cleansing Lotion?
What kind of cleanser do you prefer - cream, foam or liquid?

  2. I've been wanting to try this for quite a while but I was a bit frightened it might be a bit too strong...but after seeing this post and the price (£2.99 for 200ml is quite a bargain!!), it's worth a try :)
