What I Got For Christmas 2012

I had an amazing Christmas and got loads of lovely presents and I'd feel totally left out if I didn't share some snaps of everything that I received.

My main present from my parents, which I couldn't wait to get on my feet, was a pair of tall Ugg boots. It's obvious to me now how much more amazing the real deal are, they are so comfy and cosy, regardless how ugly they may look. Another favourite, 100% inspired by blogs, youtube and twitter were the Sleep-In Rollers. I'm sitting with a full head of rollers under the hairdryer hood as I type.

I got so many amazing presents but I selected a few, that were most appropriate for my blog, for a quick close up.

My parents, brother and boyfriend all chose well on the perfume front. My brother got me The One by Dolce and Gabbana which I hadn't heard of, but it smells amazing, whilst my boyfriend got my Lady Gaga's Fame which I was dying to get my hands on. My Mum got me the Viva Selection box from the Perfume Shop which is such a clever way to try out new fragrances and there's a voucher inside to buy the one you like the best.

It wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of Soap and Glory and The Body Shop! I love the Cranberry scented gift set from The Body Shop. My old Tangle Teezer was looking a bit worn out so my Mum did well by replacing it with a sparkly purple one along with some trusty pots of Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment.

Some more beauty faves. My boyfriend chose out the Revlon Hollywood mirror when we came back from Egypt as I went on and on about how much I loved the magnifying mirror in our hotel room. It shows he listens ;)
I've only used the Sleep-In Rollers twice so far but it's LOVE! They're so easy to use and the results are impressive. I'm sure a review will appear at some point.
Another gold star for my brother. After getting my skin analysed at the Girls Day Out Show in Glasgow by the girls at Logicalskincare I posted on Facebook that I had sensitive skin and needed to get my hands on some UltraCalming products by Dermalogica. I couldn't believe it when I unwrapped it on Christmas morning.

Finally, the present that made me smile from ear to ear was a personalised calendar from my boyfriend. I had no idea that he was making it when he kept asking me to put our ice skating pictures up. He put so much thought into it, with each month having a theme and even putting little captions into individual days like when I start placement and our anniversary.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. I'd love if you left a link to your Christmas present posts as it's nice to see what other people found under their tree.

Winter Sun: Egypt 2012

For my 21st birthday my boyfriend spoilt me rotten and on top of the other 20 presents he bought me he whisked me away to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt for a weeks break before the madness of Christmas.  had the most amazing time. The weather was perfect and I actually came home with a bit of a tan (which isn't like me at all!) I took about 300 photos which is a bit crazy but I didn't want to forget anything and wanted to be able to share the gorgeousness with everyone at home. I've shared a tiny selection which shows some of what we got up to ( stargazing, camel riding and shisha smoking in the desert, the Ice Bar in Soho Square and cocktails in the sunshine) along with a sneak peak of the resort.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Hope you're all having a lovely day. This is a scheduled post as I spend Christmas day with my family eating lovely food but didn't want to miss my favourite day of the year on my blog!

Top 5 Beauty Stocking Fillers for Under £10 : Guest Post by Rebecca

As you may, or may not know, I am currently sunning it up in Egypt with my boyfriend as my 21st birthday present. I didn't want to neglect my blog so put out a plea for a few guest posts and the lovely Rebecca got back to me straight away with this cute Christmasy post.

Top 5 Beauty Stocking Fillers for Under £10.

Hello, lovely bloggers. My name is Rebecca and I blog occasionally over on http://rebeccaalicebeldam.blogspot.co.uk/. I blog mostly about things that are going on in my life, with the occasional beauty post thrown in there! :) This guest post was inspired by a shopping trip I recently undertook in order to buy Christmas presents for my best friend. Although I've been saving up for quite a while for Christmas, I don't have a lot of money and I wanted to buy lots of little things for her, rather than one big present. So, this is where I began scouring the town for cracking beauty stocking fillers, and here is my top 5!

Now, I've seen this product many times on different beauty blogs, and I must say, it looks amazing. You can create your own 3D nail art that leave your nails looking spectacular, and for £3, it's a cheaper alternative to other nail art products, such as stamps and foils. Buy this for your friends, and you can all have rocking Christmas party nails.

My friend Laura uses this regularly, and after cheekily borrowing it from her in registration at school, it is safe to say this is the best hand cream around! At £5.00 a bottle, it is a little pricey, but it's certainly worth it. Keep your hands smooth and protected this winter.

3. Lush - Snow Fairy
I've always wanted to purchase products from Lush, but I've never had the opportunity to do so. Another one of my friends has this shower gel, and the smell is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone at £3.50, and the pink colour makes it all the more better for any girly girls out there!

2. Vaseline Gift Set
Definitely a winter beauty staple! No girl wants to be kissing guys under the mistletoe with cracked lips! Avaliable in both a big blue tin, or a pink one, this gift set is  a must at only a fiver!

And lastly.. are you ready? Drum roll please....

Barry M Nail Varnish in Jewel Britannia.
No girl can go out without sparkly nails this Christmas. Get your girlfriend one of these, and treat her to something beautiful! Plus.. as a bonus.. you can also borrow it too!

Thank you so much Rebecca for your stocking filler ideas. I'd quite happily receive any of these in my stocking. As for the Snow Fairy shower gel, I'd highly recommend it and I've stocked up for myself already.
