University Room Tour

I've mentioned before but, I'm in my final year at university studing Primary Education. Due to my 2nd semester being a placement at home and writing my dissertation I only need a flat for 3 months whilst I have classes. It's not easy to find such a thing so this year I'm renting a flat which is technically a holiday apartment. It's a bit more expensive than an average student flat but it's quite a bit nicer.
I thought it'd be nice to share with you all my room, how it's organised and how I've made it mine.

The wardrobe in my room is really tall and spacious. So much so I've struggled to fill it - something I never thought I'd say. The top left is home to my empty boxes and cleaning products. The top right keeps my bags, shoes and dresses organised. The hanging storage is from ikea and is so handy. Inside the 2 small drawers I keep scarves and tights. The bottom left has pull out metal drawers. I use the top for my jeans, shorts and skirts and the rest is filled with towels and bed sheets/covers. The bottom right keeps my cardigans and jumpers neat and organised.
One of the things about this room that I never imagined I'd ever have with a student flat is the patio, private garden from my room. Naturally we've not had the weather to actually sit out and enjoy it yet but it's nice to look out to. As for my bed, it's huge, cosy and impossible to get out of. This queen or king size bed is so low you actually have to climb out of it so early morning wake up calls are difficult! On top of my bed are my 2 donkeys - Deeyore and Reeyore - 2 out of 5!
My peeve about this room is there is no desk. I'm a desk person. Whether it's to sit at and do my makeup, uni work or just to pile stuff on. So this random chair in my room is acting as my desk by holding my two library books.
If you've never tried Brothers Toffee Apple Cider please hunt it down and try it. I love it! But have never been able to find it until Asda did me proud and sold it, on offer too. Where better to keep a stash hidden than amongst towels.
Final year of uni wouldn't be complete without folders of work and books of all shapes and size.
There are two bedside tables in my room so plenty of storage. The top drawer keeps my kinect and games organised, along with my UV lamp for my nails. The bottom drawer is full of stationary. It looks a mess, but it's organised chaos I promise. On top of the table is a picture of me and my boyfriend, a lamp and yet more stationary.
The right hand side of the bed is mine so it's got more personal items such as my pill, phone and remote control. The top drawer has a basket of electoral cables for my camera, kindle and ipod etc. Also there are 3 (!) packets of makeup remover wipes so there's no excuse for me not to take my makeup off before falling asleep. The bottom drawer is my goodie drawer. This is a bit of a tradition since 1st year as there was NO WAY I'd keep my sweets and crisps in the kitchen as they'd potentially be nicked. So ever since I've always kept them close by. They're on my side and not my boyfriends to stop him nibbling away!
On top of my chest of drawers are a few essentials - my TV, xbox(for easy access to iplayer and my film collection mainly), a bottle of rose and extra makeup. Then inside the top drawer are my Confessions of a Beauty Blogger. It's packed full of tan, eyelashes, jewellery, hair accessories, lotions, potions, hair tools and more lotions and potions.
The other two drawers have clothes: Underwear which needs not to be photographed and tops.

The thing that sold this flat to me, other than the much lower price tag than some flats had, was the fact both my flatmate and I would have our own bathrooms. Mine is ensuite and has a lovely double shower (which you'll see in a What's in my Shower Tag post soon). As my room doesn't have the best lighting I've taken to doing my makeup in my bathroom so it's all stored in here in plastic drawers. You can also see my cute little bear toothbrush holder.

So that's my room for the coming months. What do you think? Anything stand out to you that you want to ask more about? Any ideas for better organisation?
