Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review

This foundation is my go-to (Holy Grail per se) night time, fuller coverage foundation. This foundation comes in two formulas - Normal/Dry and Normal/Oily making it "perfect" for everyone. I've got quite dry skin so obviously I've only ever tried the dry skin formula. As for shade I've got 150 Buff which is the second lightest and is a really good match for me. The range isn't too bad with 9 available on the Boots website.

The one thing that bugs me, and I think every other user of this foundation, is that there is no pump. Why Revlon, why? Having no pump means application takes so much longer as you have to be careful not to pour foundation everywhere. It also means you waste product, unnecessarily as it gets all over the inside of the lid and around the bottle neck. I seriously hope Revlon considers this and redesigns the bottle whilst keeping this foundation exactly the same.

The foundation is quite thick and blends out really well with either a brush or fingers. I use either my ELF flat top powder brush or the Real Techniques Stippling brush. As for the foundations staying power? This foundation lasts for hours making it my favourite for nights out as the flawless look stays put rather than disappearing as soon as I get out the door. I do find that the dry formula foundation doesn't ever properly 'set'. This is partly due to the dewy/glowy finish. I always finish the look with powder just to make sure the foundation doesn't transfer.

Please ignore the fact I have leopard spots above my eye

This foundation is on the pricier side for a "drug store" foundation but because it's not my everyday foundation and doesn't need layer upon layer to cover up imperfections and give a flawless finish the bottle lasts for quite a long time.

Have you tried ColorStay? Or have you found a foundation you would say is better?
Do you use a different foundation for a night out than day to day?
